Meet Łukasz —
15 years' hands-on experience in London homes
One handyman. Every trade. A reputation built one East Dulwich living room at a time.
How Look'as Service started — and why it stayed small on purpose
I'm Łukasz. I started out as a handyman 15 years ago, with a van, a toolbox, and a simple idea: do the job properly, tidy up after, charge a fair price, come back when called.
That's it. There was never a business plan, never a marketing team. The reputation grew one London home at a time — a leaky tap fixed on a Tuesday, a kitchen tiled the following weekend, an IKEA wardrobe that actually stood straight. Word travelled. Neighbours told neighbours. Somebody posted on the East Dulwich Forum. Somebody else left a note on MyBuilder. And the diary filled itself.
These days most of my work comes from repeat customers and personal recommendations across South-East London — East Dulwich, Peckham, Dulwich, Herne Hill, Camberwell — and increasingly further out across every London borough.
I could have hired staff, grown the business, taken a step back from the tools. I chose not to. When you call Look'as Service, you get me. The same pair of hands, the same standard, every time. That's the whole point.

Why one handyman beats five separate tradesmen
For the kind of jobs a home throws at you — a leaky tap, a stuck door, a shelf to go up, a socket that's stopped working, a wardrobe to build — you don't need five different specialists. You need one skilled person, on time, who does the lot.
One point of contact
One phone number, one diary, one quote. No chasing three different tradesmen for three connected jobs — and no waiting for the plumber to finish before the electrician turns up.
Consistent standard
Same pair of hands every visit. You already know how the tiling will look because you've seen the painting. The standard doesn't swing from job to job.
Cheaper on small jobs
Specialist trades charge specialist call-out fees. For a half-day's worth of fiddly repairs across the whole house, a generalist handyman saves you real money and a lot of waiting around.
Bigger jobs — full rewires, boiler swaps, loft conversions — are specialist work and should go to specialists. Everything else, call me.
Five principles I won't compromise on
The things my customers mention again and again. If any of these slip, it isn't a Look'as Service job.
On time
If I say 9:00, I'm there by 9:00. If London traffic means I won't be, you get a call — not a shrug.
Clear quote
Price agreed before any work starts. No surprise extras. If something unexpected crops up mid-job, we talk first.
Clean finish
Dust sheets down. Debris bagged. Surfaces wiped. Home left tidier than a lot of people's guests leave it.
Right first time
Fixed properly, not patched to last a month. If it needs a proper repair rather than a bodge, I'll tell you why.
Look after the tools
Sharp chisels cut cleaner, straight spirit levels don't lie. A handyman is only as good as the kit he maintains.
Ready to put me to work?
Send a photo of the job, a postcode, and a rough idea of when you'd like it done. I'll come back with an honest price — no obligation.
