Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Look'as Service is a sole-trader handyman business run by Łukasz, based in East Dulwich, SE22, London. We provide handyman services — painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tiling, furniture assembly and general home repairs — across London.

For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Look'as Service is the data controller for any personal data you share with us. If you have any questions about this policy or about your data, email info@lookashandyman.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

We only collect the information you give us when you contact us to ask for a quote or to book a job. That typically includes:

• Your name
• Your phone number and/or email address
• Your postcode or address (so we can quote and turn up at the right place)
• A description of the job — and any photos you choose to send

We do not collect anything else. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no profiles, no advertising data.

3. How we use it

Your information is used for three things only:

1. To reply to your enquiry. If you call, WhatsApp or email, we need your contact details to reply.
2. To give you a quote. Postcode and job description help us work out travel time, scope and price.
3. To complete the work if you book it. That covers turning up at the address, sending invoices, and following up if anything needs sorting after the job is done.

The lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests for quote enquiries, and performance of a contract once you've booked a job.

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not use it to build profiles of you.

4. How long we keep it

If you ask for a quote but don't book the job, we keep your contact details for up to 2 years from our last contact — so if you come back for something else later, we already know the house and don't have to start from scratch.

If we complete work for you, basic records (invoice, address, job description) are kept for up to 6 years in line with standard HMRC requirements for business records.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time — see section 6 below.

5. Where your data is stored

Contact details sit in ordinary places a small business uses: the phone handset (for your number), an email inbox (for emails), a WhatsApp thread (if that's how you contacted us), and a simple customer list used for quoting and follow-up. Access is limited to Łukasz (the sole trader).

We use mainstream UK/EU email and phone providers that keep data in line with UK GDPR.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — ask what data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to fix anything that's wrong
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction — ask us to stop using your data in certain ways
• Objection — object to us using your data for any ongoing purpose
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113

To exercise any of these rights, email info@lookashandyman.co.uk — a short message is fine, no special form needed. We'll act on it within a month.

7. Cookies

This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. It is a static HTML site. The only third-party resources the page loads are Tailwind CSS and Google Fonts (Inter), which may set technical cookies necessary for the CDN to function but are not used to track you across sites.

If that changes in the future (for example if we add basic privacy-respecting analytics), this policy will be updated and the change will be noted in the "Last updated" date at the top.

8. Links to other sites

This site links out to the East Dulwich Forum, MyBuilder, Facebook and OpenStreetMap. Those sites have their own privacy policies — we're not responsible for how they handle your data once you leave our site.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. For any significant change — e.g. starting to use analytics or sharing data with a third party — we'll flag it clearly on this page.
